About Me

Maximiliano Pereira

I’m Maximiliano Pereira, a digital designer focused on the world of 3D, video games, and interactive visual experiences. I’ve always been interested in the blend of creativity and technology — taking an idea, shaping it, and transforming it into something people can see, explore, play, or experience.

I enjoy working on projects where every piece has a clear intention. I don’t just aim for things to look good; I want them to make sense, communicate an idea, and create a connection with the people who see or use them. To me, design is a way of telling stories, solving problems, and creating experiences that leave something meaningful behind.

Throughout my journey, I’ve explored different areas such as 3D modeling, video games, augmented reality, 3D printing, web design, and visual development for digital projects. That variety helped me build a broader perspective, where technical and creative thinking constantly complement each other.

I consider myself a curious, responsible, and highly driven person when it comes to what I do. I enjoy learning, experimenting with new tools, and finding practical solutions without losing sight of the details. In every project, I try to work with commitment, clear communication, and an honest understanding of what the piece truly needs.

I also strongly believe in consistency, teamwork, and discipline. Outside of design, running and futsal play an important role in my life. Running taught me how to stay committed to long processes, move forward step by step, and keep going when things become difficult. Futsal, on the other hand, connects me with teamwork dynamics, quick decision-making, communication, and the importance of reacting fast under pressure.

I feel those experiences naturally translate into the way I work: combining consistency, adaptability, and communication to bring every idea to its best possible version.

My goal is to continue creating projects that combine design, technology, and storytelling, building visual pieces with identity, purpose, and a clear experience for the people who engage with them.

Featured Experiences

5/5
Sustainable Architecture
Construction Fair 2009 Location: LATU Park, Montevideo, Uruguay
I participated alongside a UTU team in a presentation about sustainable architecture applied to large-scale buildings. The project aimed to explain, in a clear and visual way, how different design, construction, and technology solutions can help create more efficient and environmentally responsible buildings.

Lunar Base “BIDU GUIDAY”
RASC-AL 2010 Location: NASA, Cocoa Beach, Florida, USA
Together with a multidisciplinary team, we participated in the RASC-AL event, where we developed the concept of a self-sustaining lunar base. The project combined ideas related to design, technology, habitability, and resource management to imagine a possible human presence on the Moon. We achieved third place.

Mars Transport “YVY PITA”
RASC-AL 2011 Location: NASA, Cocoa Beach, Florida, USA
I participated in a multidisciplinary team that developed a proposal for an orbital transport system for Mars. The idea was to design a spacecraft capable of orbiting the planet and supporting the future creation of a self-sustaining Martian base, integrating design, technology, and space exploration concepts.

Underground Lunar Base “OPTIMUS Moon”
RASC-AL 2012 Location: NASA, Cocoa Beach, Florida, USA
I was part of a multidisciplinary team that presented a proposal for a self-sustaining underground lunar base. The project aimed to take advantage of the lunar environment to create a habitable, protected, and functional solution. With this proposal, we achieved third place in the event.

Extending Food Shelf Life
Innovation Rally 2015 Location: LATU Park, Montevideo, Uruguay
I participated in the Innovation Rally with a project focused on extending the shelf life of food. The proposal aimed to provide a practical solution to an everyday problem by combining innovation, design, and teamwork. With this project, we achieved first place in Uruguay.

Leakfinder
Innovation Rally 2016 Location: LATU Park, Montevideo, Uruguay
I participated in the Innovation Rally with a project focused on detecting leaks in potable water pipelines within cities. The proposal explored a solution designed to inspect and navigate water pipeline systems, helping reduce water waste. We achieved first place in both Uruguay and Latin America.

Ford AppLink
Campus Party 2016 — Ford Location: Knowledge Park, Buenos Aires, Argentina
I participated in Campus Party Argentina in a challenge proposed by Ford. We developed an application designed to manage and improve vehicle routes, aiming for a more efficient and connected driving experience. With this proposal, we achieved third place.

Alog the Rift
Master’s Degree in Video Games 2022 Location: CNAM-ENJMIN, France
Project developed during the Master’s Degree in Video Games at the French university CNAM-ENJMIN. Together with a multidisciplinary team, we created a narrative-driven video game with an AAA approach, working on world-building, gameplay experience, storytelling, and visual direction. It was a key experience that deepened my understanding of design within video game development.
