Project: 3D Axe Modeling for Video Game
Project Description
This project consisted of creating a 3D axe for a video game developed in Unreal Engine. The goal was to design a visually striking weapon fully optimized for use within an interactive environment, maintaining a balance between visual quality and performance.
My Contribution to the Project
I was responsible for the entire design and development process of the 3D model, ensuring that it met the technical and aesthetic requirements necessary for integration into the video game. My tasks included:
- Concept Design: Creation of an original axe design aligned with the game’s visual style and narrative.
- 3D Modeling: Development of low-poly and high-poly models optimized for video games, ensuring a balance between detail and performance.
- Texturing: Application of detailed materials and textures to highlight the axe’s features, such as metallic finishes and wear effects.
- Rendering: Production of high-quality renders for presentations and promotional material.
- Unreal Engine Preparation: Exporting and configuring the necessary files for integration into the game engine, ensuring compatibility and functionality.
Result
The axe not only met the technical standards required for the video game, but also stood out through its visual design, contributing to the game’s immersion and overall aesthetic. This project reflects my ability to manage the entire development process of optimized 3D assets for video games, from the initial concept to the final implementation.
